Issue #0511/3 - Currency related reductions on consumables for office printers.
Following Hewlett-Packard’s consumables price reductions a month ago, prompted by currency movements, Xerox has followed suit with price reductions affecting most consumables products – but only those for office printer products.
These reductions range between about 1.5% and 13% to allow for rounding to precise currency units. In general, it appears that the major reductions are for colour consumables on current products as opposed to black consumables, which is always good news in an environment where colour printing is on the increase, or those for discontinued products. Consumables for copiers, fax machines and MFPs are similarly unaffected.
In a very few instances price increases are noted – for instance, the maintenance roller kit for the Phaser 8400 has been increased by 4%.
