Issue #0725/2 A brief run-down of some decisions that can end up costing users a packet.
- Buying a laser printer when an inkjet would be more than adequate for the job
- Buying a cheap low-end machine when buying slightly up the range would reduce costs and also offer higher performance
- Buying a cheap low-end machine from one manufacturer when buying a slightly more expensive machine from another manufacturer would reduce running costs significantly
- Lowest purchase cost – usually results in a highest Cost of Printing, see above.
- Print speed – actually results in lower print costs even when the higher initial purchase cost is included
