Hewlett-Packard voluntarily withdraws trade advertisements

Issue #0729/1 - Hewlett-Packard very rapidly withdrew the advertisements that prompted the complaint to the UK’s Adertising Standards Agency, promising to avoid the contentious wording.

TCPglobal Issue#0721 carried an article entitled "Hewlett-Packard advertising raises the question, ‘what is a toner cartridge’?", with reference to trade advertising in the UK press that made some very spurious claims.

Issue #0729/2 - Despite a further very bad set of financial results, Lexmark’s share price has stabilised.

Following the second quarter earnings announcements towards the end of July, Lexmark’s share price appears to have stabilised, following a steady slide of nearly 50% of its value over the previous eight months.
