Issue #0333/1 - IBM has introduced a range of branded toner cartridges for Hewlett-Packard LaserJet printers.

Over recent years, suppliers of third party ink jet and toner cartridges have, on occasions, been referred to as ‘parasites, feeding off the mainstream industry’ by members of the original printer manufacturing community.

IBM has also announced this month an enhancement to the output management functionality of its Infoprint Server software for iSeries Unix and Linux servers with the claim that it reduces overall cost of printing by increasing efficiency and reliability in customers’ document distribution processes.
