Business ink jet printer prices reduced by up to 40 percent in Europe. Has Hewlett-Packard realised they are just too expensive?
Saturday, April 5th, 2003 - Posted in Pricing, Issues | No Comments »Issue #0313/2 - Pressure from aggressive marketing of colour laser printers is bound to put pressure on the pricing of high-end ink jet printers. As the model that enjoys the highest of the price reductions this month, the Business Inkjet 2230 was already priced at about half the cost of a low-end colour laser printer. These reductions are as high as 40 percent in Eastern Europe, 35 percent in the Euro zone and around 30 percent in the Middle East, now placing the machine only a little more than one-third of the cost of a magicolor 2300W colour laser printer. The UK and other parts of non-Euro zone Western Europe have reductions ranging from 33 to 39 percent.
